So we’ve got this awards night coming up at work this week, and you know what? I want to win an award. I flipping deserve one of these awards. I work so flipping hard for that company that yeah, I want a stupid little crystal award. Because that means that the people who voted actually appreciate me…even if they don’t show it every day.

But you know what? I have a horrible feeling that I won’t win one. And I don’t want to sour amazingly selfish about this…but if it is just Customer Service who win all the awards, I’ll be so pissed. I get that CS work hard and put all the orders through and deal with all the customers…but you know what, they’re day ends at 5pm. I have never seen them once stay back and work overtime…even when they’ve been so crazy busy and had loads and loads of orders backed up.
They have never once offered to help me out when I’m crazy busy at work and working through lunch and stay back and coming in early.

I know. This has been a very petty word post. Terribly sorry.

"I remember doing “All-American Prophet,” which is that song in the middle of the first act where I was just running all over the stage and there were a million words and nothing ever repeated. It was hard as hell to learn, and doing that and thinking please, Jesus, let me survive through this. If I don’t die in the middle of this number, it’ll be a good one."
